About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at AMIRI BUILDING ENGINEERING INC dba 120 DEGREEZ. As a key member of our Civil-Structural group, you will be responsible for conducting structural inspections, designing equipment foundations and support structures, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough structural inspections for industrial projects, identifying potential issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Design and develop equipment foundations and support structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Make informed technical decisions with limited information, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive project success.
  • Estimate and prepare engineering proposals, clearly communicating project scope, timelines, and costs to clients.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
  • Approve and stamp project designs and reports, providing peer review and guidance to junior engineers as needed.
  • Represent the company and the community in presentations and meetings, showcasing your expertise and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a strong background in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam, and Renewable Energy.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan.
  • Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience and a working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar software.
