Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the structural integrity of Landing Gears and Landing Gear Systems.
  • Conduct various analyses for both new developments and existing programs, including:
    • Strength Analysis
    • Fatigue Analysis
    • Finite Element Analysis
  • Establish Qualification Test Requirements and create Certification Documents.
  • Provide MRB and AOG support.
  • Collaborate closely with the Design team and liaise with customers, service providers, and external structural engineers.
  • Prepare and review structural reports to ensure compliance with airworthiness specifications and customer requirements.
  • Support the resolution of non-conformances and structural repairs.
  • Occasionally work offsite for extended periods at customer or partner facilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Solid Mechanics and Fatigue principles.
  • Ability to perform classical strength and fatigue analyses.
  • Proficient in Finite Element Modeling and Analysis.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Familiarity with software such as Mathcad, nCode, and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, and ABAQUS.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FAR/CS 25 specifications is required.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
