Lead Structural Analyst for Landing Systems

Position Overview:

The Senior Stress Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity of Landing Gears and Landing Gear Systems. The role involves various activities for both new developments and existing programs, including:

  • Conducting Strength Analysis
  • Performing Fatigue Analysis
  • Executing Finite Element Analysis
  • Establishing Qualification Test Requirements
  • Creating Certification Documentation
  • Providing MRB and AOG support
  • Collaborating closely with the Design team and liaising with customers, service providers, and external structural engineers
  • Preparing and reviewing structural reports to ensure compliance with airworthiness specifications and customer requirements
  • Supporting the resolution of non-conformances and structural repairs
  • Occasionally working offsite at customer or partner facilities as required

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or a related field
  • A solid understanding of the fundamental principles of Solid Mechanics and Fatigue
  • Proficiency in classical strength and fatigue analyses
  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling and Analysis
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering
  • Familiarity with software such as Mathcad, nCode, and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, and ABAQUS
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of FAR/CS 25 specifications is essential
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset
