Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Summer Co-op to join our IT team. As a Data Analyst Summer Co-op, you will play a critical role in providing technical assistance and support to our internal users. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with system upgrades and installations, and contribute to various IT projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support to internal users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Assist with system upgrades and installations, and contribute to various IT projects.
  • Work closely with the IT team to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and implement data cleansing strategies and methodologies to address identified data quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand underlying factors and develop effective solutions to address and prevent data quality issues.
  • Document data quality issues, remediation steps, and outcomes for future reference and audit purposes.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track data quality metrics, monitor progress, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary Business Administration, Business Technology, Information Technology, or Computer Science program at a college or university.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including SQL and Python.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience working with relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data quality insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
