Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests in accordance with established guidelines
- Gather specimens from patients for analysis
- Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and report any issues
- Perform administrative duties and maintain statistical records
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
- Promote a safe working environment
- Support the orientation of new staff members
Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Medical Technology program, with certification from the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Strong communication abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of legislative requirements and reconciliation responsibilities
