Maternity Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Maternity Nurse to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a Maternity Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment, working closely with obstetrical, gynecological, and surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical, social, emotional, and spiritual assessments of patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing patient needs, values, and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interprofessional team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting independence and reintegration into their community.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure comprehensive care, including post-partum assessments, discharge planning, and education.
Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Recent maternity/gynecology nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year recent medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Excellent physical assessment skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate patients and families.
