Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing pool. The successful candidate will provide excellent patient and family driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. They will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Maternal Newborn Program, including assessment, education, and prevention of health issues.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and families.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
- STABLE certificate.
- Perinatal Intensive Care Course or Paediatric Assessment course preferred.
- Recognized breast feeding course.
- Bilingualism in French / English an asset.
