Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing pool. The successful candidate will provide excellent patient and family driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the Maternal Newborn Program, including assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of patient health.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Take on a leadership role in ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with peers across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, volunteers, and families.
- Make decisions that prioritize patient care demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Take ownership of actions and use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make decisions in the best interests of the patient.
- Follow all health and safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Embrace our learning culture and demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification (must obtain within 3 months of employment).
- STABLE certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).
- Perinatal Intensive Care Course preferred.
- Paediatric Assessment course preferred.
- Recognized breast feeding course.
- Bilingualism in French / English an asset.

This is a Full Time Regular position with 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights, including weekends in the Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing pool. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package that includes benefits, pension, and vacation.
