As a Registered Nurse in our Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing pool, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's academic mandate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of care providers.
  • Assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health, with a focus on the Maternal Newborn Program.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with peers, physicians, staff, patients, and families, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Contribute to the hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning, and/or transforming care through research and innovation.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 3 months of employment.
  • STABLE certificate within 6 months of hire.
  • Perinatal Intensive Care Course and Paediatric Assessment course preferred.
  • Recognized breast feeding course.
  • Bilingualism in French / English an asset.
