Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at North York General Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in our Maternal Newborn / Child Teen Nursing pool, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's academic mandate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of care providers.
- Assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health, with a focus on the Maternal Newborn Program.
- Ensure health and safety policies are followed to provide a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with peers, physicians, staff, patients, and families, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Contribute to the hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning, and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 3 months of employment.
- STABLE certificate within 6 months of hire.
- Perinatal Intensive Care Course and Paediatric Assessment course preferred.
- Recognized breast feeding course.
- Bilingualism in French / English an asset.
