About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labour and Delivery team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient and family-centered care, collaborating with colleagues to assess, educate, and support patients throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care, prioritizing needs and managing complex situations with ease
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, fostering strong relationships and trust
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based practices to promote optimal outcomes
- Participate in education and training initiatives, staying up-to-date on best practices and advancements in maternal health
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence, adhering to hospital policies and guidelines
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification
- Recent breastfeeding course
- Fetal Health Surveillance certification (preferred)
- Perinatal Certificate (preferred)
- 2-3 years Labour & Delivery experience (preferred)
- Operating Room experience (preferred)
- Bilingualism in French/English (asset)
