Position Overview

The Cleaning Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and safety of facilities, ensuring that all standards are met and maintained. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry.
Work Environment
  • Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and exposure to wet or damp conditions.
  • Ability to work in noisy environments with potential odours and dust.
  • Some tasks may require working in cold or refrigerated areas.
Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and manage cleaning personnel.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning operations.
  • Recommend additional services such as painting, repairs, or renovations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to cleaning operations.
  • Assist cleaning staff in their duties as required.
  • Coordinate cleaning activities with other departments to ensure efficiency.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for cleaning staff.
Supervision

This position will involve supervising a small team of 1 to 2 cleaning staff.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions and handling heavy loads.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
