Position Overview

The Cleaning Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and safety of various facilities. This role involves managing a team of cleaning staff and ensuring that all cleaning standards are met.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment
  • Must be comfortable working in various conditions including heights, confined spaces, and wet or damp environments.
  • Exposure to noise, odours, dust, and cold or refrigerated areas is expected.
Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, and supervise cleaning personnel.
  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning operations.
  • Recommend additional services such as painting, repairs, or renovations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to cleaning services.
  • Assist cleaning staff in their duties as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work activities.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for cleaning staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct supervision of 1 to 2 cleaning personnel.
Work Conditions
  • Fast-paced environment requiring the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
Personal Attributes
  • Strong client focus and dependability.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Reliability in completing tasks and meeting expectations.
Experience
