About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Finning International Inc. as a key member of our Operational Excellence team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement Engagements
    • Support process improvement initiatives using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to address business challenges.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build relationships with stakeholders to identify future opportunities for process improvement and automation.
    • Communicate process improvement initiatives and outcomes to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Project Management
    • Translate business challenges into improvement ideas and manage project timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Develop and implement new processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analysis and Reporting
    • Develop process maps and measure business benefits to identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and present reports on process improvement initiatives and outcomes to senior management.
  • Automation and Technology
    • Use automation tools to develop solutions for business challenges and provide ongoing support.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Qualifications
    • Post-secondary degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives.
    • 2-5 years of experience managing projects.
    • Lean or Six Sigma training (Green Belt preferred).
    • Proficiency in SQL (required); Python knowledge (or willingness to learn) is an asset.
    • PMP Designation is considered an asset.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
    • Ability to work in a lean, agile, dynamic environment.
