About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our OEM Remanufacturing facility in Edmonton, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support process improvement engagements using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to identify future opportunities for process improvement and automation, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
- Translate business challenges into improvement ideas and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery of results.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to improve operational efficiency, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration.
- Develop process maps, measure business benefits, and document requirements for initiatives, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Use automation tools to develop solutions for business challenges and provide ongoing support, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Promote and support existing Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of process improvements, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Prepare and present reports on process improvement initiatives and outcomes to senior management, providing clear and concise insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide system, process, analysis, and tactical support for OEM claim capture and tracking system enhancements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Conduct service-letter claim reconciliation, reporting, and ongoing projections, providing accurate and timely insights to inform business decisions.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
- 2-5 years of experience managing projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Experience in capturing requirements for technology development is considered an asset, as is Lean or Six Sigma training (Green Belt preferred).
- Proficiency in SQL (required); Python knowledge (or willingness to learn) is an asset, as is PMP Designation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
- Ability to work in a lean, agile, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and open communication.
