Position Overview

Aramark Canada is in search of a detail-oriented professional eager to build a career in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or Nutrition. The Residential Dining Supervisor will be an integral part of the Dalhousie Food Services team, reporting directly to the Manager. This role entails coordinating and overseeing daily operations within the dining facility, including the management of the front-line team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage labor costs by effectively supervising daily staffing levels and enhancing staff efficiency.
  • Maintain control over production and supply costs, as well as inventory, by adhering to established operational standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of service quality and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all established tracking procedures on a daily basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Oversee teamwork and service delivery consistently.
  • Address day-to-day employee matters professionally while adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Support and implement training initiatives that enhance skills to better serve guests, foster repeat business, increase revenue, and boost team morale.
  • Assist in conducting annual employee evaluations and manage interim performance issues.
  • Ensure all employees receive training in accordance with company safety, health, and sanitation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in the food service sector.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
