Job Summary
Aramark is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Residence Dining Hall Food Service Workers. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Educate guests on menu items, daily features, and dining hall events, promoting a positive and engaging experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, adhering to high standards of food safety and quality.
- Operate various tools and equipment, including knives, pots, pans, and appliances, to prepare and serve food.
- Organize the workplace and schedule production, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Properly store products and maintain product inventory, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
- Prepare food according to recipes, using proper portion control, presentation, and use of convenience foods.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management, ensuring seamless operations and resolving any issues promptly.
- Prepare condiments, preserves, and dressings, as well as stock and merchandise shelves, cereal and bread bar, salad bar, and coolers.
- May wash and sanitize component dishes and utensils, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log, and adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures.
- Perform other job duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Experience in the restaurant/food service industry is considered an asset.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required.
