We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about pursuing a career in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or Nutrition to join our Dalhousie Food Services team as a Residential Dining Supervisor. Reporting directly to the Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the dining services, including the management of the frontline team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage labor costs by overseeing daily staffing requirements while optimizing efficiency among all team members.
  • Maintain control over production costs, supply expenses, and inventory by adhering to established operational standards.
  • Conduct regular audits of service quality and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all established tracking procedures on a daily basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Supervise teamwork and service delivery consistently.
  • Address day-to-day employee matters professionally while following all company policies and procedures.
  • Support and facilitate training programs that enhance skills to better serve guests, increase repeat business, drive revenue growth, and improve team morale.
  • Assist in conducting annual employee evaluations and manage interim performance issues.
  • Ensure all employees receive training in accordance with safety, health, and sanitation protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in the food service industry.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
