Position Overview

The Admissions Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for prospective and current students at Saint Mary's University. This position is essential in providing comprehensive support and information across various areas, including admissions, registration, and financial assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Director of the Service Centre, the Admissions Services Coordinator will:
  • Address inquiries and provide guidance to students, university staff, and the public, ensuring high-quality service and accurate information in admissions, registration, financial aid, academic policies, and more.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate academic and financial records for each student.
  • Handle all forms of payment, including currency conversion, invoicing for sponsored students, and monitoring payment arrangements, while helping students understand payment processes and funding resources.
  • Serve as the primary contact for new students, fostering a welcoming and efficient service atmosphere, and employing strong problem-solving skills to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Admissions Services Coordinator position will possess:
  • A high school diploma plus two years of university education or a two-year diploma in Administration or Business.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience in an academic setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SCT Banner is considered a plus.
