Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and assessment services to children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in case conferences and staff meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program policies and procedures.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to students and new staff members.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with complex mental health issues and associated developmental, cognitive, and behavioral disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Brain Story Certification.
  • Experience working in a school-based setting.
  • Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Group experience.
  • Connect Attachment model training.
  • Facing Your Fears training.
