Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Data Analyst and Administrative Coordinator

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Data Analyst and Administrative Coordinator to become a vital part of the Indigenous Health Administration team. This role is essential in supporting our mission to enhance health services.

Responsibilities of the Data Analyst and Administrative Coordinator include:

Deliver analytical assistance to the Directors and senior leadership team, focusing on data interpretation, statistical reporting, benchmarking, and generating queries, while preparing comprehensive reports and technical documents using various software tools. Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Indigenous Health Directors and senior leadership team, ensuring efficient operations. Manage the appointment schedules of Directors and management, coordinating meetings, prioritizing information, and addressing requests and inquiries, including sensitive information. Operate independently while collaborating with Directors, Managers, and staff across all organizational levels. Collaborate effectively with other VCH departments, such as the Decision Support team, and liaise with external agencies to ensure smooth information flow, keeping Indigenous Health Directors informed of relevant developments.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

A diploma in a relevant field. Three to four (3-4) years of recent experience in a complex healthcare setting, with progressively responsible administrative roles supporting senior management. Proficiency in information analysis and benchmarking, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced skills in spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software, including Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.

Knowledge & Skills

Demonstrates expertise in utilizing desktop applications to create diverse documents, reports, and presentations, while maintaining databases. Applies acquired skills to efficiently resolve administrative challenges independently. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills when providing or seeking information. Enhances departmental effectiveness by employing excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage schedules. Exercises diligence in maintaining, monitoring, and summarizing data, records, and budget information.
