Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Data Analyst and Administrative Coordinator to become a vital part of the Indigenous Health Administration team. We encourage you to consider this opportunity to contribute to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver analytical assistance to the Directors and senior leadership team, including data evaluation, statistical reporting, benchmarking initiatives, and the preparation of comprehensive reports and technical documents using various software tools. Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Indigenous Health Directors and senior leadership team, including research assistance. Manage the appointment schedules of Directors and management, coordinate meetings, prioritize information, and handle requests and inquiries, including sensitive information. Operate independently while collaborating with Directors, Managers, and staff across all organizational levels. Collaborate effectively with other VCH departments, such as the Decision Support team, and represent the department in interactions with external agencies to ensure smooth information flow.Qualifications
Education & Experience
Diploma in a relevant field. Three to four (3-4) years of recent experience in a complex healthcare setting, with progressively responsible roles in administrative support for senior management. Background in information analysis and benchmarking, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience. Proficient in advanced computer applications, including spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.Skills & Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in utilizing desktop applications to create a variety of documents, reports, and presentations, while maintaining databases. Applies acquired skills to effectively and independently resolve administrative challenges. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills when providing or seeking information. Enhances departmental efficiency and contributes to organizational success through excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage schedules.
