Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst/Administrative Assistant to become a vital part of our Clinical Informatics Team. We encourage you to consider this opportunity to contribute to our mission.
In your role as a Clinical Informatics Analyst/Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Delivering analytical support to the Clinical Informatics team, including data examination, statistical reporting, benchmarking initiatives, and the development of queries, alongside preparing and compiling reports and technical documentation using various software tools. Offering confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Executive Director of Clinical Informatics and the broader Clinical Informatics team. Managing the appointment schedules of the Manager and management team, coordinating meetings, processing and prioritizing information, and addressing requests and inquiries, including those of a confidential nature. Working autonomously while collaborating with other Executive Directors, Managers, and staff across all organizational levels. Effectively partnering with other departments within VCH, such as the Decision Support team, and liaising with external agencies to facilitate the flow of information, ensuring the Executive Director is informed of pertinent issues and activities.Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
A diploma in a relevant field. Three to four (3-4) years of recent, related experience in a complex healthcare setting, with progressively responsible secretarial and administrative roles supporting senior management, experience in information analysis and benchmarking, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Proficiency in computer applications, particularly in spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software, including Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.Skills & Competencies
Demonstrates expertise in utilizing desktop computer applications to produce a variety of documents, reports, and presentations, as well as maintaining databases. Applies acquired skills and knowledge to effectively and independently resolve administrative challenges. Utilizes strong verbal and written communication skills when providing information or seeking to acquire data. Enhances departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success by employing excellent time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
