Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Healthcare Analyst and Administrative Coordinator

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Analyst and Administrative Coordinator to become part of the Indigenous Health Administration team. This role is vital in supporting our mission to enhance health outcomes for the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver analytical assistance to the Directors and senior leadership team, focusing on data interpretation, statistical reporting, benchmarking initiatives, and the development of queries and reports using various software tools. Provide confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Indigenous Health Directors and senior leadership, ensuring efficient operations. Manage the appointment schedules of Directors and the management team, coordinating meetings, processing information, and addressing inquiries, including sensitive matters. Operate independently while collaborating with Directors, Managers, and staff across all organizational levels. Foster partnerships with other VCH departments, such as the Decision Support team, and liaise with external agencies to ensure effective communication and information flow.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Diploma in a relevant field. Three to four (3-4) years of recent experience in a complex healthcare setting, with progressively responsible roles in administrative support for senior management. Experience in data analysis and benchmarking, or a comparable combination of education and experience. Proficient in advanced computer applications, including spreadsheet, database, graphics, and word processing software such as Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.

Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrates expertise in utilizing desktop applications to create documents, reports, and presentations, as well as maintaining databases. Applies acquired skills to efficiently resolve administrative challenges. Exhibits strong verbal and written communication skills when providing or seeking information. Enhances departmental efficiency and contributes to organizational success through effective time management and prioritization of tasks. Maintains diligence in managing, monitoring, and summarizing data, records, and budget information.
