About the Role

We're seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. As a BDR, you'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, working closely with our sales team to understand market trends and target the right prospects. Your goal will be to initiate meaningful conversations that drive revenue growth and help us expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify potential clients through various channels, including online research and social media.
  • Cold Outreach: Engage with prospects via email, phone, and social media to introduce them to our products and services.
  • Qualify Leads: Assess the needs and challenges of prospects to determine if they're a good fit for our solutions, and schedule meetings or demos for the sales team.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all activities and communications in our CRM system, ensuring the sales pipeline is up-to-date and well-organized.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our marketing and sales teams to align on target markets, messaging, and lead generation strategies.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify new business prospects.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, qualified leads, and meetings scheduled.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Tenacity to persevere through challenging situations and achieve goals.
  • Empathy to understand and connect with potential customers about topics important to them.
  • Curiosity to learn about customers' businesses and pain points.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience using CRM tools and sales automation software.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • No prior sales experience needed (although 2 years post-grad work experience of face-to-face customer service, retail, or hospitality, is a plus).
