Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our water treatment team and related departments across North America, fostering effective communication to build essential relationships.
- Serve as Project Manager or Process Lead on various initiatives.
- Oversee project execution to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Engage in strategic business development, nurturing client relationships, and leading proposal efforts to secure treatment projects.
- Coordinate with team members, other WSP divisions, equipment suppliers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, process diagrams, and layout designs, while reviewing outputs from junior and intermediate staff.
- Conduct analysis and design for water treatment projects, including process selection, equipment sizing, and hydraulic assessments, while mentoring junior colleagues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective resource allocation and personal time management.
- Support senior staff with project-related tasks as needed.
- Assist management with budgeting, strategic planning, performance reviews, and training initiatives.
- Primarily office-based consulting work with occasional opportunities for fieldwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
- Registered as P.Eng in a Canadian province.
- Over 15 years of relevant experience in consulting engineering.
- Proven expertise in water treatment; metallurgy experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HYSIM/HYSIS or OLI software is a plus.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and mentoring.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English; French proficiency is a bonus.
- Strong organizational skills for information and time management.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects independently.
- Experience in detailed design, procurement, construction management, and commissioning is beneficial.
- Advanced degrees are an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
Compensation:
Salary range: $121,600 - $167,300
The final salary for this position may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
