Job Overview:

John Wood Group is seeking a Senior Process Engineering Specialist to become a part of our Minerals & Metals division. This position is available on a contract basis and will be based in our Vancouver office.

The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering engineering expertise across a range of metallurgical initiatives, from preliminary assessments to comprehensive engineering solutions, while also providing on-site support to clients at their operational sites.


Compensation:
Competitive hourly contractor rate
Responsibilities include:
# Offering process engineering consultancy with an emphasis on mineral processing techniques such as Pressure Oxidation (POX), crushing, milling, base metal flotation, dewatering, and cyanidation of precious metals.
# Collaborating with client process engineers to address design challenges and integrating client specifications in a cost-efficient and low-risk manner.
# Evaluating and endorsing process plant mass balances, design criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), plant layouts, 3-D models, technical specifications, and equipment procurement recommendations.
# Leading and participating in Preliminary Economic Assessments, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility studies, along with various engineering evaluations.
# Depending on project demands, assume the role of discipline lead on selected project teams.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse project teams and management levels.
- Must possess authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship from John Wood Group.
