Position Overview

As a Principal Process Engineer specializing in concentrators, you will play a pivotal role in our Minerals and Metals division. Your expertise will guide the technical direction of complex mineral processing projects, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical leadership throughout the mineral processing project lifecycle, including feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), commissioning, execution, and optimization of concentrator projects.
  • Ensure that process designs adhere to best practices and specifications, meeting operational, safety, environmental, and functional requirements.
  • Conduct trade-off analyses to enhance process configurations, maximizing financial returns for clients.
  • Oversee the performance of Process Engineers, ensuring timely delivery of process and design outputs for various projects.
  • Foster a culture of excellence by mentoring and developing the skills of Process Engineers.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with Study Managers, Project Engineers, and Discipline Leads to achieve high-quality project outcomes.
  • Provide critical insights for decision-making by quantifying process parameters in relation to cash flow and economic impacts, while identifying and mitigating technical risks.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering, with P. Eng. registration.
  • 10-20 years of experience in concentrator projects, encompassing both design and execution in engineering consulting and operational settings.
  • Familiarity with flotation, comminution, and tailings management is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and understanding client-side decision-making processes.
  • Experience in testwork and process design for copper, molybdenum, gold, and nickel.
  • Strong client management skills and a reputable standing within the industry.
  • A keen interest in industry technologies and a commitment to understanding emerging innovations.
