The company is seeking a seasoned Environmental Consultant to join the Decarbonization and Sustainability Division, focusing on environmental protection and performance enhancement.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate should possess:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly in Refining, Chemical, or NGL Fractionation Processes.
- Familiarity with ISO-14001 Environmental Management Systems and extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
- Experience in evaluating overall refinery environmental performance, conducting daily monitoring and reporting, identifying discrepancies, and formulating solutions to environmental challenges.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Conducting waste minimization assessments and providing guidance on the management, treatment, and disposal of various waste types.
- Establishing environmental business plans, objectives, and emission baselines, along with setting targets for key performance indicators such as flaring and SO2 emissions.
- Demonstrating expertise in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management, with strong data collection and analytical skills to identify GHG reduction opportunities.
- Leading and coordinating environmental teams to ensure alignment with Global Manufacturing Excellence standards.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas refineries or the petrochemical sector.
- In-depth knowledge of the refining industry and its associated environmental challenges.
- Familiarity with global and governmental environmental policies and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in environmental engineering.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with environmental policies and standards while promoting sustainability initiatives within the organization.
