Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Canadian Armed Forces Full time

Position Type: Non-Commissioned Member | Full Time, Part Time

Current Demand: High

As a vital component of the military, Electronic Warfare Analysts are responsible for intercepting and scrutinizing electronic communications, particularly those originating from foreign entities.

This role currently offers a Signing Bonus for individuals joining the Regular Force (Full-Time) who have completed accredited training. Conditions apply.

Enhanced Pay Progression

Upon successful enrollment and completion of Regular Force Basic Training (Basic Military Qualification), you may qualify for an enhanced pay increment if you select one of the designated roles.

Responsibilities of an Electronic Warfare Analyst include:

  • Collecting, processing, analyzing, and reporting on electromagnetic activities across radio frequencies, utilizing advanced technology
  • Safeguarding and managing computer networks
  • Ensuring the security of information technology systems
  • Utilizing and maintaining classified documentation
Work Environment

Electronic Warfare Analysts operate within a highly secure, restricted-access environment, dealing with extremely sensitive information. They typically work in shifts but also have opportunities for regular business hours and can be deployed globally.

If you opt for a career in the Regular Force, after completing all necessary training, you will be assigned to your initial base. While there is some flexibility regarding postings, relocations may be expected at various points in your career. Conversely, joining the Primary Reserve Force will involve enlisting through a specific Reserve unit, allowing you to work part-time without the obligation to relocate.

Training Overview

The initial phase of training is the Basic Military Qualification course, conducted at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School. This training equips recruits with essential skills and knowledge applicable across all trades, with a focus on maintaining the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) physical fitness standards. The training is notably rigorous.

The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of provincial standards for Grade 10 or Secondary 4 in Quebec, including Grade 10 applied mathematics.

Foreign qualifications may be considered.

Part-Time Opportunities

Members of the Reserve Force typically engage in part-time work within their community's Reserve unit. They are not assigned to a specific posting or required to relocate, although they may volunteer for transfers. Additionally, they can opt to participate in military missions both domestically and internationally.
