Job Title: IHealth Division Lead - Surgical Subspecialties

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and implementation of clinical standards and order sets for surgical subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of specialty-specific standards and order sets for surgical subspecialties.
  • Collaborate with island-wide specialty groups to promote standardized documentation requirements.
  • Ensure condition-specific documentation and specialty-specific requirements are developed and adopted.
  • Lead the harmonization of order sets for use on paper and after Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) implementation.
  • Liaise with informatics, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health team members to ensure successful development and adoption of clinical order sets.
  • Support overall IHealth change management through actively engaging with specialty colleagues.
  • Ensure clinical and professional legislative, accreditation, or practice requirements are met.
  • Participate in testing events to ensure the design of the EHR meets clinical workflow requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience in clinical standards development and implementation.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with island-wide specialty groups and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of clinical order set development and implementation.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
