Job Title: IHealth Division Lead – Medical Subspecialties

Island Health is seeking highly skilled professionals to fill the role of IHealth Division Lead – Medical Subspecialties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of clinical standards and order sets for our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and order sets for our EHR system.
  • Work with island-wide specialty groups to promote standardized documentation requirements.
  • Lead the development of condition-specific documentation and specialty-specific requirements.
  • Harmonize order sets for use on paper and after Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) implementations.
  • Ensure linkage to Quality Council and Quality Council co-chairs through regular reporting and escalation.
  • Liaise with informatics, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health team members to ensure successful development and adoption of clinical order sets.
  • Support overall IHealth change management through actively engaging with specialty colleagues.
  • Ensure clinical and professional legislative, accreditation, or practice requirements are met.
  • Participate in testing events to ensure the design of the EHR meets clinical workflow requirements.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of the EHR and related systems.
Requirements:
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medical subspecialties.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with island-wide specialty groups.
  • Experience with clinical order set development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems and clinical workflow requirements.
