Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of clinical standards and order sets for surgical subspecialties. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians, informatics, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and order sets for surgical subspecialties
  • Collaborate with clinicians and other stakeholders to ensure effective EHR implementation
  • Lead the development of condition-specific documentation and specialty-specific requirements
  • Harmonize order sets for use on paper and in Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) systems
  • Ensure linkage to Quality Council and Quality Council co-chairs through regular reporting and escalation
  • Liaise with informatics, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health team members to ensure successful development and adoption of clinical order sets
  • Support overall IHealth change management through actively engaging with specialty colleagues to support change

  • Experience in clinical transformation and EHR implementation
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with clinicians and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of clinical standards and order sets development
