Job Title: Director, Commercial Capabilities

At Gay Lea Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Commercial Capabilities to lead our Commercial Team and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with our corporate objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Commercial Capabilities team to be the center of excellence for Market Insights and Go To Market execution for Gay Lea Foods.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor the team to partner across the organization to drive growth and profit.
  • Develop, implement, and support the commercial team with an annual insights-led Go To Market strategy and selling materials to execute against the overall corporate strategy.
  • Evaluate current market trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences to identify untapped opportunities and potential threats.
  • Lead the portfolio management review, a critical pillar of the organization's Integrated Business Planning process.
  • Oversee the development of strategic partnerships and relationships with external market research organizations to enhance business capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization to gain alignment with strategic commercial initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Strong project management, creative problem-solving, conceptual thinking, identifying future trends, and process improvement skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to inspire and influence others through storytelling and executive presence.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills as well as working knowledge of syndicated data systems.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization structure is an asset.
