Position Title: Supply Operator

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

Department: Prepared Foods Production (Desserts)

Job Grade: Grade 3

Compensation Range: $20.50– 22.61 per hour

Company Overview: McCain Foods (Canada) is seeking a dedicated Supply Operator to enhance our operations in the Prepared Foods sector. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining cleanliness and efficiency within our production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and prioritize safety by participating in the STEP program.
  • Work rotating shifts as required.
  • Conduct cleaning and sanitation of equipment while ensuring a tidy workspace, including daily housekeeping reports.
  • Identify and report any product quality concerns.
  • Ensure packaging areas are stocked with necessary materials.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks throughout the packaging process.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED is essential.
  • Rotating shift availability is required.
  • Basic computer skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physical capability to lift 35-40 lbs. consistently.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle unexpected situations with composure.
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate completion of production documentation.
  • Willingness to adapt to changes in daily operations.
  • Successful completion of a training period is mandatory.

Additional Duties:

  • Follow all safety protocols diligently.
  • Operate relevant machinery associated with assigned tasks.
  • Make minor adjustments to equipment and document packaging codes as necessary.
  • Stay informed of policy changes and requirements.
  • Engage in sanitation duties as required.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment as needed.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Critical Control Points (CCP).
  • Meet SQCDPE targets by understanding and setting KPIs.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
