We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager of Operational Excellence to join our team at McCain Foods. As a key member of our Supply Chain organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and sustainable growth within our North American Supply Chain.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager of Operational Excellence, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the Development and Launch of a Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence: Establish standards, methodologies, and tools to support CI initiatives across the organization, maximizing collaboration and finding synergies with our McCain Driving Impact program.
- Overseeing the North American Supply Chain Sustainable Competitive Advantage (SCA) Program: Build a robust portfolio of cost savings initiatives that will deliver >$20M of cost savings annually, holding the team accountable to timely and accurate tracking/reporting of value realization.
- Program Management: Lead large-scale, complex, and cross-functional improvement programs ($3MM+ total value + >4 Month Execution timing) and participate in cross-functional teams supporting supply chain process improvement projects.
- Leadership: Communicate regularly with senior leaders to understand organizational needs and challenges, present compelling business cases for continuous improvement initiatives that demonstrate clear ROI and strategic alignment, and provide leadership and coaching to direct reports and CI initiative team members.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements throughout the organization, implementing change management methodologies to ensure smooth transitions and sustained improvements.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to drive decision-making processes and measure the impact of continuous improvement initiatives, establishing and maintaining a robust system for monitoring and reporting on key improvement metrics.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or Engineering, with an MBA a plus.
- 5+ years of Supply Chain experience, with 3+ years of experience driving sizable Continuous Improvement Projects or Transformation Programs, CPG experience a plus.
- Extensive experience in applying recognized CI methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, GEMBA, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and/or other appropriate process improvement tools and methodologies).
- Lean Six Sigma certification and Project Management Professional designation a bonus.
- Results-focused, with a bias towards action, able to analyze multiple pieces of information and act decisively.
- Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Understand sources of information and be able to procure information effectively.
- Tact and diplomacy, ensuring professionalism when dealing with internal customers and outside vendors, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Self-motivated with leadership skills and a desire to learn and grow.
- Excellent problem-solving, organization, and planning skills.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with SAP IBP, E2Open TMS (formerly BluJay), and PowerBI.
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
