Position Overview

The Global Marketing Team is seeking a Temporary Marketing Account Manager focused on Rodeo & Agriculture to contribute to our initiatives. This role involves the development, execution, and oversight of marketing strategies for Explore Edmonton's Community Initiatives portfolio, which encompasses various events and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and external marketing partners to craft comprehensive marketing campaigns that utilize traditional, digital, social, and influencer strategies.
  • Enhance organizational collaboration and efficiency by adapting to shifting priorities within the marketing team.
  • Promote and support the strategic marketing objectives of the Rodeo & Agriculture account across the organization.
  • Establish and manage ongoing reporting mechanisms for strategic marketing goals, KPIs, and evaluation metrics.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing projects and campaigns for the Rodeo & Agriculture portfolio, including media planning and digital content development.
  • Communicate the priorities of various teams effectively to collaborators.
  • Leverage internal marketing services to execute projects and campaigns successfully.
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure brand development and compliance for Rodeo & Agriculture brands in collaboration with the Global Marketing Brand & Design team.
  • Contribute to the management of digital properties, including social media channels and websites.
  • Work with the Global Marketing Brand & Design team to produce branded materials for events and advertising.
  • Handle financial responsibilities, including tracking and forecasting budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in business (marketing), communications, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in marketing and/or communications is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with large internal marketing teams is an asset.
  • Demonstrated expertise in event marketing and revenue-generating strategies.
  • Strong understanding of traditional, digital, and social marketing practices.
  • Experience managing significant campaign budgets across various platforms.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various digital marketing tools.
  • Prior experience in the events industry, particularly in rodeo and agriculture, is considered an asset.
