About the Position
The Global Marketing Team is seeking a Temporary Marketing Account Manager for Rodeo & Agriculture to oversee marketing strategies for our Community Initiatives portfolio. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring marketing plans for key events, including the Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) and Farmfair International (FFI). Collaborating closely with the Marketing Director and the Global Marketing team, the Account Manager will focus on generating economic impact through increased event attendance and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with subject matter experts and external marketing agencies to create comprehensive marketing campaigns that utilize traditional, digital, social, and influencer strategies.
- Enhance organizational collaboration and efficiency by adapting to evolving marketing priorities.
- Promote the strategic marketing objectives of the Rodeo & Agriculture account both internally and externally.
- Establish and manage ongoing reporting for marketing goals, KPIs, and evaluation metrics.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal teams and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee the execution of marketing projects, including campaign development, media planning, and digital content creation.
- Effectively communicate the priorities of CFR, FFI, and Edmonton Urban Farm teams to collaborators.
- Utilize internal digital marketing services to execute various projects and campaigns.
- Manage external suppliers and agencies as needed.
- Ensure brand development and compliance for Rodeo & Agriculture brands in collaboration with the Global Marketing Brand & Design team.
- Contribute to the management of digital properties, including social media, websites, and email marketing.
- Collaborate with design teams to produce branded materials for events and advertising.
- Handle financial responsibilities, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in marketing and/or communications.
- Experience collaborating with large internal marketing teams is advantageous.
- Strong background in event marketing and revenue-generating strategies.
- Proficient in traditional, digital, and social marketing practices.
- Experience managing significant campaign budgets across various platforms.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities while working with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital marketing tools.
- Previous experience in the events industry, particularly in rodeo and agriculture, is a plus.
