The Global Marketing Team is seeking a Temporary Marketing Account Manager for Rodeo & Agriculture to enhance our initiatives. This role involves crafting, executing, and evaluating marketing strategies for Explore Edmonton's Community Initiatives portfolio, which encompasses various events and programs related to rodeo and agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts from CFR, FFI, and Edmonton Urban Farm, as well as external marketing agencies, to design comprehensive marketing campaigns utilizing traditional, digital, social, and influencer strategies.
- Develop and implement strategies that promote organizational collaboration and operational efficiencies, adapting to shifting priorities within the marketing team.
- Champion the strategic marketing objectives of the Rodeo & Agriculture account both internally and externally.
- Establish and oversee the ongoing assessment of strategic marketing goals, KPIs, and evaluation metrics.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with both internal and industry stakeholders.
- Manage the development of marketing projects and campaigns for the Rodeo & Agriculture portfolio, including major campaign creation, media planning, and digital content development.
- Effectively communicate the priorities of the CFR, FFI, and Edmonton Urban Farm teams to collaborators.
- Leverage internal resources such as social media, digital marketing, and content development to execute marketing projects.
- Source and manage external vendors and agencies as necessary.
- Ensure brand development and compliance for the Rodeo & Agriculture brands in collaboration with the Global Marketing Brand & Design team.
- Contribute to the management of digital properties related to CFR, FFI, and Edmonton Urban Farm, including social media channels and websites.
- Work with the Global Marketing Brand & Design team and external contractors to produce all branded materials.
- Oversee financial responsibilities including tracking, forecasting, and invoice processing.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business (marketing), communications, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in marketing and/or communications is preferred.
- Experience collaborating with a large internal marketing team is an asset.
- Demonstrated expertise in event marketing and revenue-generating strategies.
- Strong knowledge of traditional, digital, and social marketing practices.
- Experience in managing significant campaign budgets across various platforms.
- Ability to handle major projects and competing priorities while working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, email marketing, website management, and CRM software.
- Previous experience in the events industry, particularly in rodeo and agriculture, is considered an asset.
