Healthcare Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist I to join our team at Valley Regional Hospital in the Western Zone. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, CT, MRI, and other imaging modalities
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health and wellness

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging is an asset
  • Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
