The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team. As a Radiological Technologist, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision. You will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle, and remain responsive to each patient in your care.
Effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment is essential, and you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety in the workplace. Travel to other sites may be required.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Previous experience is an asset
- Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties, while working independently and under minimal supervision
- Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills; and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams
- Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Permanent part-time position; 60 hours biweekly
- Shift work and call required, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Stand by coverage may be required
$30.83 - $37.54 hourly
