About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in a fast-paced environment.

The Radiological Technologist will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures requiring the use of ionizing radiation, applying the ALARA principle. They will also be responsible for effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment, fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong educational background in Radiological Technology, certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), and licensure from the Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP). Previous experience in Diagnostic Imaging is an asset, as is the ability to work in multiple modalities.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within inter-professional teams. They will also have a strong understanding of technical language and be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions.

Hours

This is a long-assignment full-time position, requiring 75 hours biweekly. Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required. Stand-by coverage may also be necessary.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $30.83 - $37.54, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
