Radiological Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological/accessory equipment with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the ALARA principle and be able to apply it effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and foster a culture of safety in the workplace.
Travel to other sites may be required, and you will be expected to work independently and under minimal supervision. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, we encourage you to apply.
About You- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Previous experience is an asset
- Qualification to work in more than one Diagnostic Imaging modality is an asset
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Ability to use time effectively by organizing and prioritizing duties
- Possess the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational and prioritizing skills
- Comprehension of the technical language in order to be able to review and use manuals
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Stand by coverage may be required
$30.68 - $37.35 hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Successful candidates may also be eligible for a $5,000 - $10,000 signing bonus and up to $5,000 of relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
