About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment with minimal supervision.

You will perform a variety of diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle and exercising independent judgment. Effective communication in a multidisciplinary environment is essential, as you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Travel to other sites may be required, and you must be able to work independently and under minimal supervision. A graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology and Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification are required. Previous experience is an asset, and qualification to work in multiple Diagnostic Imaging modalities is also beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care while operating radiological equipment
  • Perform diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, applying the ALARA principle
  • Communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Travel to other sites as required

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • CAMRT certification
  • Previous experience is an asset
  • Qualification to work in multiple Diagnostic Imaging modalities is beneficial
