We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping team as a Houseperson. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces are well-equipped and welcoming for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional guest service by consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging interactions
- Ensure that Housekeeping departmental standards are met and maintained
- Assist Room Attendants in preparing guest rooms efficiently and effectively
- Maintain inventory in Housekeeping closets and report any discrepancies
- Respond promptly to guests' special requests for miscellaneous items
- Collect dirty linen, garbage, and recyclables from Room Attendants' carts and closets
- Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning tasks as required
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Report any necessary maintenance items to the maintenance team
- Be available to work overnight shifts as required
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
Physical Aspects of the Position:
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40+ lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
