In this vital position, you will manage a cutting-edge healthcare Control Centre. Your responsibilities will include monitoring various systems such as fire safety, access management, and surveillance. You will play a key role in coordinating security personnel and executing a range of dispatch functions, including responding to incident calls.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergency requests, and assistance calls. Control access to and from the facility. Document details of radio communications, phone calls, and verbal directives. Provide backup support as needed. Notify management of significant incidents. Oversee the Camera Surveillance System. Manage all incoming security phone lines, including emergency lines. Ensure that security operations align with established policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A security license is not required for this position. Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from an approved provider). Must be clean-shaven to comply with N95 Mask Fit Test requirements. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double vaccination). Immunization records for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella, and TB Skin Tests (Step 1 & 2) are required at the time of hire. Applicants who cannot provide MMR immunity documentation will not be eligible for the position. Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check during onboarding. At least 6 months of experience in a control centre or dispatch role. Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous. Background in security is beneficial. Must exhibit a high level of professionalism. Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Capacity to manage stress and make sound decisions under pressure. Attention to detail and observational skills are essential. Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Post-secondary education in IT or Computer Science is strongly preferred. Experience with computers, telecommunication devices, and surveillance systems is highly preferred.
