Role Overview

IBI Group is in search of a Director for the Rail Business Unit in Ontario, part of our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA) in Canada. This role will oversee our Rail & Transit division in the region.

As the Director, you will be tasked with strategically expanding the Rail and Transit operations in Ontario, aligning with the GBA Mobility strategy and financial objectives. Key responsibilities include:

Implementing the Mobility strategy:

Oversee the business unit with full accountability for profit and loss performance, ensuring high-quality service delivery; develop and manage the execution of strategies to guarantee service excellence and profitable growth in alignment with business objectives. Inspire and develop a diverse team of senior specialists by recruiting talent, setting clear objectives, and evaluating performance to ensure that staff are engaged, skilled, and capable of achieving program goals. Formulate and execute the business plan for the unit, ensuring that the team comprehends their roles in achieving the plan through fostering a supportive culture and providing clarity. Identify and target clients by delivering exceptional service to drive organic revenue growth within the business unit.

Building strong relationships and fostering successful teams:

Cultivate lasting relationships with clients to comprehend their needs, ensuring satisfaction to enhance retention and promote organic revenue growth. Mentor practice group managers, service managers, project managers, and technical managers within the Business Unit to guarantee project success and adherence to governance standards, ultimately improving client satisfaction. Identify and nurture talent within the business unit in both technical and project delivery capabilities, promoting career advancement by guiding individuals towards suitable development programs. Make informed decisions regarding resource allocation within the business unit, maintaining the integrity of the unit's structure to optimize resource utilization. Identify and manage risks in service delivery, ensuring compliance with governance processes to achieve service excellence and client satisfaction. Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of the business unit's clients and market dynamics to identify key trends and emerging opportunities. Foster collaboration across IBI Group to maximize opportunities for cross-selling and enhancing service offerings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field. A minimum of 15 years of experience in leading and expanding a significant business function within a professional services environment. Proven ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams towards a unified goal, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
