Position Overview

The Bilingual Regional HR Operations Manager will be tasked with overseeing human resources functions across various manufacturing locations. This role includes providing direct support and guidance to local HR Coordinators, managing employee and labor relations, facilitating training and organizational development, and coaching leadership in alignment with the company’s strategic goals and culture. The position encompasses operations in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Address and resolve employee relations matters by collaborating with Site Leaders and local HR Coordinators.
  2. Support the daily administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and engage in union negotiations by preparing and supplying essential HR data.
  3. Collaborate with Site Leaders and Operations Directors to identify, design, and implement innovative human resources strategies that enhance operational performance specific to the manufacturing sector.
  4. Work alongside Corporate HR to advocate, implement, and assess the effectiveness of corporate programs and initiatives.
  5. Provide managers with the necessary tools and training to maximize their effectiveness and assist leaders in developing and completing individual development plans.
  6. Facilitate the talent review and succession planning processes using a consultative approach to ensure a robust talent pipeline.
  7. Partner with Corporate Training to develop and deliver leadership training programs for Plant Managers and Supervisors.
  8. Collaborate with the recruitment team to attract top talent through enhanced selection tools and local outreach initiatives.
  9. Foster internal talent development, participate in key promotional decisions, and maintain local relationships with recruiters to support timely hiring.
  10. Ensure adherence to all federal, provincial, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  11. Effectively communicate, interpret, and apply company policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct.
  12. Engage with the Corporate HR team to implement corporate initiatives and provide insights and feedback from various locations.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

  1. A university degree, preferably in Human Resources Management.
  2. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is an advantage.
  3. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a generalist HR professional or HR Business Partner.
  4. Thorough understanding of Federal & State or Provincial employment law and human rights legislation.
