We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychologist Assistant to join our team at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). As a Psychologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Forensic Psychologists in assessing and managing the risk of individuals in the criminal justice system.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and score standardized psychological assessments, including MMPI-2, MCMI-IV, WAIS-IV, and WMS-IV.
- Provide detailed behavioral descriptions of clients during testing, including observations of affect, motivation, and response to failure and success.
- Assist in the administration of specialized forensic assessment measures to assess risk and treatment needs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and charts according to established procedures.
- Participate in educational meetings, staff meetings, and treatment team conferences.
- Contribute to research activities, including literature reviews, research applications, and funding submissions.
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
- Recognized training and/or experience in administering a wide variety of psychodiagnostic tests.
- Specialized academic course and experience in forensic psychology, including risk assessment and management.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
