The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to join our Organizational Development team. This role will provide administrative support to the team, including coordinating development programs, supporting the administration of training and development initiatives, and contributing to various organizational development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Orientation and Onboarding
    • Coordinate new employee orientation programs for teaching and non-teaching staff
    • Support the onboarding of new teachers
    • Track required onboarding documentation for new employees
  • Professional Learning and Development
    • Provide excellent customer service as the primary point of contact for organizational development and general inquiries
    • Support the delivery of training and development activities at various locations throughout the Board
    • Assist with the recruitment of Principals and Vice Principals
    • Collaborate with the Organizational Development Specialist to organize training for teaching groups
  • Administration and Reporting
    • Distribute and monitor surveys and assessments to measure department customer satisfaction and learning gains
    • Maintain department databases of required organizational training and legislative training
    • Assist with the creation of written communications to support various projects and initiatives
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Learning and Organizational Development, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of one to three years of recent, related, and professional experience in Human Resources
  • Actively working towards or achieved the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation
  • Proven experience in supporting design, delivery, and evaluation of training and development programs
