Position Overview

The role of a Construction Inspector is crucial in ensuring that building projects adhere to established standards and regulations. This position involves a comprehensive evaluation of construction activities to maintain quality and safety.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze architectural plans, engineering drawings, and site layouts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites for both new and existing structures.
  • Verify compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the enforcement of standards for steel and concrete installations.
  • Assess and report on the condition of residential properties, whether newly built or previously owned.
Types of Inspections
  • Inspections will cover both new constructions and existing buildings.
Safety and Security Standards
  • Must be bondable.
